I'm now back in Adelaide (until 5 Jan) and I can't tell you how great it is to be back. Too many differences to mention. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!! For those in Adl I hope to catch up with you all. My old aussie mobile is still active so don't be shy and call me!

Another short & sweet post - I'm flying out of Chicago in about 3hrs back to Adelaide!! I'll be touching down 18 Dec around lunchtime. Hopefully my old Adelaide cell number will be active. Catch y'all soon!!

Best TV show of the year

Brrr Chicago winter is here

You know it's cold outside when you're just about to leave work and the weather site shows -12degC (with a feels like temp of -18degC). I mean can you feel the difference in cold when it gets below 0degC? Everything just seems cold.

The high for this week is going to be 2degC sometime on the weekend.

On the plus side it has snowed a bit so everything looks very nice with a white blanket. On the plus plus side in just over a week's time I'll be flying back to Adl for Christmas!!

Gotta scoot - time to confront the chilling walk to my car.

Survival

Sorry about the lack of updates. For the few readers that I have left I thank you for being patient :). There's been so many things happening since my last post but the most significant must be the departure of SY :((. SY flew out on Thanksgiving day and Chicago's loss is Adelaide's gain.

A few ppl have asked me how I'm coping in the wake. I think the pic below sums it up best. Life is still going on but SY's legacy is very evident :). You'll notice the freezer pack below, labeled 'pork'. SY has stocked up my freezer and it's good at least the next 2 wks. By then I'll be back in Oz for a whirlwind tour.
